do you mean intrinsically by universal standards or by human standards? a mm difference in eyes positioning is a 0.5% difference mathematically but for humans it's very very significant. a more relevant example is 1st grade equations and calculus, by human standards a person who's maximum mathematical ability is calculus is way smarter than a person who's maximum ability is 1st grade equations but when seen from a universal perspective which puts into consideration all species, it's not a significant difference since both individuals have the basic mathematical understanding that's absent in all species with the exception that one is able to utilize it in a more complex manner.
yes i know it's dumb and unsound to ask a beaver what is 1+1 but this is necessary when you want to look at it from the evolutionary perspective especially when you want to classify certain groups as non human
