It took me a 5 days to read Extension du domaine de la lutte

It took me 3 days to read Candide
It took me 2.5 weeks to read the first Harry Potter book

I feel like I'm screaming into a void and whenever something echoes back I'm disappointed it's nothing solid.

It never ends.

>glance at the news

>2740 covid-19 deaths in 24h
>20 days of supplies for medications essential for tracheal intubation
>collapse of oxigen cilinder supplies
>slow vaccination with a mere efficiency a little higher than 50%
>most hospitals oversaturated country-wide, with reports of patients being laid on the floor
>single-digit IQ president talking shit for the 76th time in the week and trying to seize power from the states and cities so they can't deliberate their protective measures (the ones that the federal government simply isn't doing)

I don't see the light in the end of the tunnel, bros. 300.000 are dead already, some of which I've known myself. I wonder if the international community could somehow help us one day.

>1. How do I get off this train?
You don't.
>2. What are some further readings you would recommend?
Obviously Edward Bernays' books. Jacques Ellul's Propaganda is a bit better. Marshal McLuhan fof something more media focused. I don't know what books are out there for the psychological and political dimensions though.

I work at a factory six days a week at least 12 hours or more a day with literal meth addicts, alcoholics and absolute brainlets for co-workers and bosses. I've grown convinced it would be just better for me to go to sleep and never wake up. I am essentially a slave. No I can't save up and drop out because I spent all my money/credit and more by buying a house and attempting to open an unsuccessful business. Let me fucking die.

>>9700826EVEN if it is the case, that Peterson has a wrong definition of post-modernism, which it isn't. That has zero effect on everything else he says, which is the most of it. If you want, you can replace post-modernism in his speech by another word. What’s important is not the word.

You have no good reason to be happy either. Don't fall for that "Well you're not a starving nigger in Somalia" trite. If constantly hitting rock bottom is the only way to appreciate things, well then enjoy mr. bones wild ride.
