Orgy of the Will thread

http://orgyofthewill.net/

>728. People writing me off is hilarious. "He has nothing more to say", wrote in 2009 some Game Studies professor on his blog. Before the Genealogy. Before Videogame Culture: Volume II, before Orgy even, lol. — When I have nothing more to say I'll be the one to say so, retards. And you better believe I saved the best for last.

What do you think is gonna be the best?

Also is it known what was the reason for Icy's somewhat long pause in activity?

Have you read this carefully?
http://orgyofthewill.net/
It resumes where Nietzsche left-off (1900 onwards): making sense of the decline of Europe, rise of the USA, slave/consumer society, and the technological and information age.

Just to anticipate the usual (and only) objections..
>too edgy
Harsh truths can only be communicated through harsh words. But harsh truths are what philosophy exclusively deals in! Consequently philosophy can only be communicated through harsh words.
>too egoistic
Ecce Homo features a similar self-awareness of genius, you never know how serious or true it might be.
>no defining terms, explicit arguments or evidence

What are your honest thoughts on Icycalm/Orgy of the Will?

The implications of his philosophy terrify me but I can't really refute any of it

Is this the meme duality of internet philosophy?

What does /lit/ honestly think of "Orgy of the Will?" Does it possess any literary merit whatsoever? Or is it just the product of an extremely resentful, petty narcissist?

I have to admit, it seems difficult to disprove a lot of his claims. That said, I'm guessing the majority of them are simply plagiarized from intellects greater than his own. If nothing else, it's absolutely hilarious, and should be read mainly with that kept in mind. The question is whether or not he's being sincere, and actually believes the more outrageous statements made in the text.

For those who haven't read it;

Enjoy.
And don't forget, approach it as a comedy.

Is this the logical conclusion to philosophy?

I messed up /lit/

>first day of Literature Studies 3011
>teacher asks what our favorite books of all time are
>lot of Game of Thrones and Ulysses
>jokingly say Orgy of the Will in a serious gone
>all of my classmates laugh like chimps "HUE HUE HUE he said Orgy!"
>now have to write an essay defending Orgy of the Will as literally the greatest book of all time

I haven't even read OotW and the paper is due tomorrow.

Seems I have 2 options:
1. Write a paper on how Orgy of the Will is the best literature ever. Professor definitely hates me because he is a communist SJW.
2. Skip the very first assignment of the year. Professor definitely thinks I am a slacker and there is a decent chance that he gets curious, google OotW and then also hates me.

What do I do /lit/? How do I unfuck my life?

I messed up /lit/

>first day of Literature Studies 1030
>teacher asks what our favorite books of all time are
>lot of ASOIAF and Harry Potters
>jokingly say Alex Insomnia's Orgy of the Will in a serious tone (haven't even read most of it)
>fellow students laugh "HUEHUEHUE ORGY"
>Professor: "hmmm, I've never heard of that one"
>now have to write an essay defending Orgy of the Will as literally the greatest book of all time

Help /lit/? How do I spin this without getting the communist professor to hate me and give me an F? I can't really say that I like it ironically because it is a 5-7 page essay.

This website is run by the paragon of humanity, who is in the process of writing a philosophy book to END ALL PHILOSOPHY BOOKS.

>In this work of absolute genius, after two and a half thousand years of progress the path of philosophy arrives at an end, and the intellect at last draws, one by one, its ultimate conclusions. Apocalyptic, uncompromising and merciless, Orgy of the Will constitutes nothing less than a declaration of war on the so-called "human species".

And that's not all. You can read a number of samples of the genius' thought right there on the website. For instance:

>131. Fondue sucks. It's just a pot of disgusting melted cheese in which you dip pieces of stale bread. The only reason subhumans are still eating it is because of all the apparatus on the table that makes them feel like children. Its continued popularity has nothing to do with culinary excellence but with subhuman childishness.

Take note, you subhumans. The Overman is here!

For those who would improve themselves, and rise, if not to the level of genius possessed by this spectacular mind, at least above your formal selves, to join the forum and speak with the master himself costs nothing... nothing but $50/year!

Truly, this is a wondrous time in which to live!
