The thing about it that bugs me is so often these types of novels are written by non-hebephiles writing from the perspective of someone else, and usually they're highly unsympathetic to them despite this. I found that was my problem reading Lolita, it becomes increasingly obvious that Nabokov himself isn't interested in adolescent/pre-pubescent girls like Humphert is. So he paints this portrait of Humphert being a monster.

What I'd really enjoy is a story about a grown man and a 12 year old girl falling in love together. No nonsense about perversions, mental illness, crime or societies prejudices, just love as nature meant for it to happen.

I really do not understand modern society. Apparently a man is a monster for wanting to take a 14 year old girl out on a date, but it's perfectly acceptable for a man to want to take a dick up his ass or mutilate his genitals into a vagina. Personally, I blame the Jews.
