My dad sexually/emotionally abused me until I was 16 and my mom divorced him and moved to another state. I'm ugly as shit, have a small dick, and I'm terrified of women, so I will never have a girlfriend, but I'm getting hired full time for a tech support job next month and I'm slowly building up a social circle. I attend monthly writer meetups and I'm going to the movies with an acquaintance from high school next month. Baby steps.

/lit/, I keep going in to book shops and seeing books I'm interested in, in their attractive shiny covers.

The problem is that I have a kindle and can pirate any book etc Books feel nicer to read but the kindle screen is perfect, pirating saves money, many of my favourite authors are dead etc.

What do you guys do when you get this urge?

I've not read many sad books, OP, but Mice and Men, damn, I've got a real soft spot for lovable retards.

So I was thinking about picking up some Paul Auster. Anyone have any recommendations on which books I should get?
