How many of you can actually get laid?
How many of you could raise a kid?

Funny to see Walter Moers recommended here. I absolutely adored captain Bluebear as a kid, when I got older I read the rest of his works and was absolutely blown away. His world building is definitely the best part of every book, wacky creatures, strange lands. It feels like you're getting a peak into an ongoing world that continues after you close the book.
Must read: Rumo, City of Dreaming Books, Bluebear.
Pretty good: Alchemasters Apprentice
Meh: Labyrinth of Dreaming Books
