After ~2500 years,

It's still the fucking problem of universals.

To get insight into how other people feel, think and act in situations that are common or universal.
Its to bridge the gap between our soulds, make us feel understood.

>Your whole body and mind literally vibrate with pleasure and stimulation
Confirmed for never having taken anything beyond a minimal, effectively non-psychedelic dose of psychedelics.

>I figured it out. It was about nothing. Just like everything else.
You sound like me after my third or fourth trip. That's just your mind trying to rationalize not going further down the rabbithole. There is a long way left to go, but don't take my word for it!

Psychs are strange, and very individual. Disregard the whole "becoming one with God"-schtick. It's a mess that it keeps being bandied about as the most popular description, and thus expectation, of what psychedelics have in store.

Out of the people I've tripped with, the person who thinks of himself as really stupid, but who actually really isn't, once described reaching satori, and has since that trip been absolutely convinced that Samsara is not a mythical metaphor, but a scientific truth, and that a new reincarnation awaits him beyond his physical death.

He then uses this "enlightenment" to justify staying passive and sheepish in his dysfunctional relationships, esp. with his exploitative girlfriend, treading water in his personal development and hoping for a better next reincarnation.

Another friend, who thinks of himself as really intelligent, but who in some ways really isn't, peeped into his own darkness once, and was so frightened by what he saw that he since craves rigidity of belief to the point where he claims newfound faith in a literal "old bearded man"-style Yahweh, whose divine opinion on my friend's individual life, he says, is the one true path for him to wander.

As for me, I've seen the most fascinating things in the psychedelic forest dark, but I'm not sure I would recommend stepping inside, to anyone. Your mileage may vary, and by a lot. It's a bit like playing russian roulette with your mental health:
>I've been visited by demons with many voices, who had the strangest, most terrifying things to say.
>I've stared into the Nietzschean abyss for long enough too realize that it is I who am the abyss, staring into a mirror.
>I've been caught in a loop experiencing complete rebirth, every consecutive time with total amnesia, every few seconds, for what seemed like forever.
>I've been absolutely convinced that I have died and gone to hell, doomed to suffer eternity as an impotent, hollow shade, haunted by the ceaselessly looping memories of past times wasted, past chances let slip through my fingers. Despair didn't have time to really strike, before it had passed over into stunned, indifferent acceptance.
