Just a reminder, but you can skip around after the first three books depending on what you want to focus on. While there is a timeline most of them follow, a lot of the time you can get an idea of what's going on even without reading them in order. But don't take anyone's word as law, since there's varying opinion on what's good and what isn't. For example, many think #5 is skippable, while others find it one of the best in the series. Probably depends on what you're looking for.

>Dan Abnett
His books are literally the worst in the series, get the fuck out of here. You clearly have no idea what the fuck you're talking about. Stop sucking Abnett's dick. Legion and Prospero Burns are some of the worst fucking books in the whole of Horus Heresy. It's clear that you have never read enough of this series to have a valid opinion, so why even bother?
>Wh40k is right there with any other big franchise like Star Wars, Gaylo or what have you. You have to be a fan to stomach most of the output. I am not that much of a fan.
Wrong again. I hated Dawn of War and more or less anything I touched related to 40K (granted, I still hate 40k and find it boring as fuck). But Horus Heresy I love despite its flaws. Any fucking time I hear anyone talking badly about it on here I hear the same regurgitated shit I've heard from others that haven't read it or maybe read a few of the books out of context because muh legion fanboyism. The mere fact that you think Dan Abnett produced good work for the series is embarrassing.
