It is true when looking at Silent Gen, Greatest Gen, and Boomers, that my ancestors in the first two went through some rough shit. Fought in wars, survived famines, conquered people, etc. This all culminates in Boomer Grandpa working one slow easy non-manual labor job for 40 years and retiring at 60, then he complains about my generation being losers even though we’re back to doing hard shit and will probably all have to fight in whatever WWIII they’ve got cooking with China and Russia right now.

I think ultimately that it’s only some boomers that do that, it’s just that the entitled ignorant assholes are the ones that scream the loudest. You’re not going to hear your supportive Grandma or Grandpa over your shrieking half-deaf morbidly obese grandparents yelling at dinner in a quiet restaurant about how “this generation is so impolite.” It is very obnoxious how many of them hearken back to the masculinity of the Greatest and Silent gens without ever having done anything more than play football for 2 years in high school and then drink beer every day for 40 years.
