You do know where you are right? This is a place where people backpeddle when called out on their bs. What do you think would happen if we could edit? You want anarchy?

Flavour anon, you were told years ago. You edit a book WHEN you are finished with your draft. No wonder you don't have no progress if you write one chapter then spend two months editing it.

You just write until you think your story is done, no reading what you have before, just write. THEN read through what you wrote, then read again and start organizing your words to match how you want events to take place, check for logical consistency, grammatical errors, all the while adding in and subtracting.

Writing a novel isn't the hard part, it's the editing that comes afterwards that sucks the life out of you. You will have reread that draft so many times that you will dream of it. If you think you should change something make a new word document and name it alternate chapters, and put any changes you have in there. You write everyday even if it's shit. You don't go back the next day to edit your shit, you move on.

Can't believe I'm doing this, but this is how you should plan:
>think about what you want to write
>think about what you want to happen
>think about where you want things to happen / you want characters to go
>what you want your characters to do
>who are your characters
>any special conflicts you want
>how much rape and incest you will tastefully add
>anything special about the world
>what's your beginning, starting, middle, and end
>if you are using magic or tech make notes of the basics so your readers won't call you a deus ex machina hack
Put all of this in a word document and label it basic info. You can add more pertinent information to it anytime, and it will function as your consistency check. You will have a loose guideline to follow.
If you wanna write something else, go ahead, but follow the above. So if you got your other story out of your system, you can reread the basic info again for your other project and continue like nothing happened.

I don't want to see no whining about editing from you for the rest of the year flavours fag, unless it's about your completed draft. I put up with your shit for 3 years. Organize yourself and stop bitching, and write. Maybe you don't actually want to write...
