What's your favorite choose your own adventure type book? What features do you like?

Did you ever read the often corny but sometimes incredibly atmospheric and terrifying Choose Your Own Adventure books?

Pic related, there were multiple parts of this that gave me the absolute heebs as a kid: walking down a tunnel that gets smaller and darker and screams becoming more audible as you go along; rooms full of screams and things you can fill where opting to "light your candle" will result in a page where you see the horrific things in front of you

i ended up throwing out the book because there was one page where this rotted looking corpse attacks you with large fangs, illustrated quite well, and i was convinced as a child that the book was haunted
