what are you even talking about man? they have socialism in Sweden. even the most generous, pro-natal policies like monthly child allowances, free childcare, paternal leave etc only realized marginal gains in fertility rates. they are still well below replacement. sure, religion affects fertility positively. but that's only in certain cases, with highly orthodox groups who emphasize pro-natalism (amish, mormons, orthodox jews, mennonites etc) and eschew many aspects of modernity. theocratic states like iran are in decline, as is the entire middle east, which is all very religious.

im trying to tell you that population decline is universal. its a sort of self-correction after the unnatural industrial boom. all states experience it. looking at it as if it were a problem meant to be corrected is what leads to brainlet takes like the OP's book.

>An Anxious Age: The Post-Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of America - Joseph Bottum

This book explains why you're seeing the new Wokeism religion. I also recommend -
