I imagine every character but Rock as Caucasian and the Parshendi as black Africans. Basically the Alethi are Byzantine. I never got the impression that it was otherwise. Where in this book does it really talk much about skin tone? Apparently Sanderson is canonizing what they look like outside the book in interviews. How do you feel about this?

So let me get this straight, you have these blades that pass right through anything organic, killing all life it touches, and cuts through inanimate objects like butter. These blades are basically lightsabers used by Jedi in Star Wars. Only thing is, Jedi use magic to enhance their reflexes. In The Way of Kings, these giga knights wear space marine armor wielding magic hammers and these "shardblades" that are six feet long. SIX FEET LONG. These are just regular men wielding these things for the most part. There is one character who has one and uses magic. The rest are non-magic users. They swing around 6 ft. blades that will instantly kill anything or anyone if the blade merely touches them. How do they not hit their friends or even themselves? It's impossible to use a sword that kills on contact without magic.

I started this and I'm at the part where MC is a slave about to be sold to some army. When does this fucking get good (if at all)? These names, women are all literate... men illiterate.. the BAD prose... and I mean retard pros is distracting. I have read mistborn and I liked it. This so far is going backwards in quality. I thought the opening magic fight scene was stupid. It's literally mistborn all over again. People like this shit? I can't continue. MC has a fucking tinkerbell following him around... I shit you not.
