Have you ever read a setting with a really distinctive and unique cuisine /sffg/? I'm actually kind of curious if anyone's managed it besides Rowling

How does one learn to edit effectively?

I'm not just talking about changing lines or paragraphs, but also editing on a larger scale like cutting and adding in whole scenes

How do you deal with writing schedule drift?

A few months ago I used to write every day at 11pm, but I kept habitually procrastinating and now it's drifted to 1:30am

anyone know a way to offset this?

Nihilism aside, is the desire to leave a long-lasting mark on culture, history or science that will outlive outlive you by lifetimes a valid goal, or is it, much like romantic conquest, a vapid and narcissistic dream that one is supposed to grow out of to reach maturity
