Is this book good? Has anyone read it? What's the deal?

Sooo, some people tell me this book is genius, a wonderful depiction of the human condition in today's modern climate.

Others say it's total BS from an author who just wanted to write a story to make it okay for full-grown women to give up all responsibility, act like children so that their life would be more fun, and basically be as hedonistic as possible with no concern for anything else.

What's the deal /lit/ ?
