Serious topic today. How does one flagrantly oppose social norms like Tux Pepe? I say Tux Pepe because, to me, he epitomizes the idea of being based. If I were to define based, I would say it serves to succinctly describe the actions of one who brazenly defies standard social convention or disobeys a paper tiger authority simply because they will to. To be based is to be one's own man, willed by the motives of his own benefit, and not by those of other men.

I feel the weight of the societal boot pressed against my face. Oversocialisation has molded me into an obedient and compliant societal member and I notice myself obeying rules without needing to be told. A simmering urge to act unabashedly is at all quelled by the bridle of learned social pain aversion.

What books help combat this feel? The goal is not to attain wealth, status, or power over others, rather, power over self (a far more difficult feat).
Is there anyone BASED who has anything to offer to the thread? Hard mode: Being based only when on 4chan doesn't count
