I don't know what you mean by "good," but Nitobe Inazō urged the Japanese Empire to quickly model themselves after Western economic powers by industrializing rapidly and then conquering and "modernizing" Koreans and whatnot. They're written very skillfully, and I find his writings / speeches interesting to read.

Dude, you're a misogynist. Also, Vonnegut is dope. I don't S5 is his best, and I have read CC. But Mother Night, Jailbird, The Sirens of Titan, and some of the stories in Welcome to the Monkey House are brilliant.
