I found this book to be a very interesting look into young Christianity when it was still very cultish and counter-culture. The whole book is not nearly as cool as this one line, but it's a very unique look at it when it was still a minority religion and full of lessons suggesting people disregard tradition and the establishment in favor of the new and cool cult of jesus.

Saw this posted and thought it was cool so I bought the book. I love the aesthetic of it and it feels like how Gene Wolfe pulls on archaic terminology to make things familiar yet alien. The actual content is very much like Zen Koans, but with a Christian flair. Here's another quote I liked:

I've been trying to design a magic school video game, but I've come to the conclusion that for magic to feel like magic it seems to be at least some degree of nonsense. I think Rowling understood this and did a really good job of resisting putting logic and rules to the magic as most people would have done. I know there are some rules, but they're just more nonsense that build up the magical feeling of the world instead of tearing it down.
