Pynchon will rightly be the only intellectual connected with postmodernism to be remembered.

When Infinite Jest came out and people were hailing it as the greatest novel since GR and DFW as a generational genius, do you think Pynchon ever got even just a little bit worried DFW was coming for his throne?

What book first got you Pynched by the Pynchmeister? For me it was Inherent Vice. I was much more of a film buff before and when I heard PTA was adapting it I had to check it out. After taking my first Pynchpill I became much more of a book guy.

A man who read the Pynchmeister, a-and did his best to reach the Pynch’s lofty heights, but failed, natch. Many such cases. Sad.

There’s only one man’s works you need to read to understand the full width and breadth of man’s knowledge, of all the arts, sciences, phillosophy.

Take the Pynchpill.
