Literature is a shitty medium. It takes a ton of time just to figure out if you like what you're reading. Searching for books is also overly complicated. There is still no site on the Internet that allows you to search for all the books in the world using a huge tag tree. By huge I mean I want to have a tag for every small thing. Or better, I want a search engine accepting short descriptions. Like 'a book about MC fucking his blind sister in a medieval Europe setting.'
Literature will never be popular without a good search solution.

haha, i'm glad someone recognised it. I just copy pasted it from the archives to see what OP would say. I actually think it's a pretty poor argument.

even contemporary philosophers make this mistake. i remember reading an early chapter of 'the expanding circle' by peter singer, where he starts babbling about how wrong rousseau and hobbes were about mankind before civilisation, as if either of these thinkers were making an anthropological claim. as for political scientists, well... it's like the scorpion and the frog—"I couldn't help it. It's in my nature".

Youre a mage, you can manipulate heat and light however you like with an "energy bank" of like 200k calories before you need to chill. What's the most destructive way of using it?

You better do it. What have you got to lose? Not a thing, you're just being a scaredy cat, get past the nerves.
