2nd book in series: following the action packed finale of Volume one where Luma races back to Algo the space station to Save everyone from asphyxiation, she and the remaining members of the society confront Warhead and and his undead minions. In the heat of battle, Luma becomes desperate to stop him from wounding and killing more of her friends so she foolishly charges into battle with her two friends only to be outclassed by warhead teleporting her friends to parts unknown via dimensional portal. When backup arrives in the form of an Ocularian she begs it to open a portal so she can seek out her companions. It does so and Lima finds herself on a desert planet alone with no clues of where to go next. Her jetpack damaged in the battle, she must brave loneliness, heat and fear to cross the vast dunes in search of her lost friends.

I wrote my newest series about a black girl. Since it takes place in the 25th century, there’s no African-centric undertones, and since the whole se ties takes place I moved a few months time, no one has kids so in neither case does skin color or gender matter. There’s no “wokeness” and no agenda, just an adventure in in outer space and across dimensions to seek out adventure and fight evil.Its seriously that easy... I wish other fuckers would figure this out.

I always box and archive the first draft in a box as a sign that “the idea has manifested itself in the real world”. It’s a vanity thing I do for myself. Writing can be a lonely and solitary practice so I find encouragement in looking over and seeing a physical reminder whenever I’m having doubts about writing. All subsequent drafts are backed up and archived on drives and emails. The boxes are cheap. I just started my next book on Friday. 8 pages so far. I have LIT to thank for naming the main character “LUMA” of the series. This is book 2 of 4
