Third, to have sex today is not to conform...I'm not sure where you're getting this idea from. The meanings surrounding sex have changed. That act itself has not. Don't hate on sex itself because contemporary society is taking it in a direction you don't like.

Now, I've been thinking about a way to respond (seriously) and defend my decision to you, but I'm not sure of how best to do it. I mean what does it matter to you what I take? How could you possibly be a judge on whether or not it's a waste of my time. It's not the subject matter that's the important part of these classes. Sure I'll become a little more learned, but it's the skills I'm going to learn by taking these classes that are the most important piece of the equation. I'll be learning how to improve my reading, critical thinking, reasoning, and writing skills. That's true for all my classes. My Ritual studies professor is one of the most knowledgeable faculty on campus. I already had a class with him and it sure wasn't a walk in the park. I'm sure this class will be the same intensity or higher. Also, it's my senior year and I'm all but done with my major and minor. Why not finish it up with some classes that sound interesting and could possibly be even fun?

You're in no position to judge what classes I'm taking based on the titles. You cannot possibly know what's to be discussed, read, and learned.
