me neither
Japan is a country/culture with an absurdly high capacity to absorb any side effects from the freedoms granted to its citizens. it's a miracle every western country should strive for and dreams about. sure, we were there, as country or another, in the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th century... but with the chaos and power afforded by the technology of the '80s, '90s, '00s, and today? in-fuckin-credible. eternal respect for Japan.
in comparison, if in Communist China somebody is "in danger" of having "success," no matter how useful he was to the communist party, he gets pulled back into the sea of communist misery... erm... equality. with collective prosperity gained by exporting trash (as in my country only plastic trash and poisoned toys arrived, killing off any competition and all creativity) the Chinese people will soon wake up that they aren't allowed even the second hand illusions people living in third world countries dream about. in Communist China everything is at the limit, on knife edge, and any small deviation from the norm (which btw changes at every whim, as the party = the law... this is why they need the social credit system) risks a domino that will leave North Korea looking like Las Vegas next to it
how can such a country think of itself as GOAT? because they are willing to do what nobody else does (including unethical human experiments as the norm)?
i am offended. please try again after communism is eradicated from China. then it would be my pleasure to find something to respect over there.
