In general i drink/get high for recreation; sometimes I can write on one or the other, and I've produced a few things of quality, but about the same ratio as usual, just less focused....

If I get wasted and go on a writing rampage, I find the result too sloshy and disorganized to be able to go back and reread and edit. its just too random.

My drug for writing is deep, deep concentration. Dark room. Headphones or ear plugs. Hat, sweater, and hoodie. Eyes closed sometimes. that's how i stimulate the writing part of my brain.

Why is Vonnegut always listed under "Literature" and not Science Fiction?
