>learned a language for 10 years
>visited its country for 2 years
>still either have to move there for 30 years or read endless grammar books in order to perfect it

At least I can read meme books now

suppose you it is possible through basic arithmetic to calculate the "worst author"

poorness of writing quality + unwarranted arrogance + faggotry of fanbase x size of fanbase = magnitude of shitiness

This way, we eliminate a middle schooler who's written an amateurish short story
who may yet hone his art, we eliminate the unread avant garde experiments of some obscure soul, some yokel's noble but failed attempt at writing a memoir, a hastily composed pornography made for commercial reasons and so on.

Thus John Green is the worst author.

>When you realize James Joyce writing about his scat fetish holds more literary merit than anything you will ever write.

>walk into used bookstore
>see used copies of philosophy books
>not textbooks but primary sources
>feel like my unique esotericism has been shattered

This feeling is stupid but it keeps happening. The other day I saw a full set of Hegel's Encyclopedia in German.
