Any of Camus/Nietzsche would work. Both are about fighting against apparent meaninglessness and chaos by both accepting/submitting to the concept of meaninglessness while acknowledging that they could still rise above it.

If you're down, just remember that in the question of anything being absolute--for example, biological determinism--it either is or it isn't. If it is absolute, then no point in worrying about it That'd be like worrying if the sun was going to come up--totally out of your control.
