That's a part of the despair friend, to love something not beholden to it's own whims, but to that of another. At any moment the character could be changed or killed off, and I will be left knowing that what I loved was gone.

Are we all not beings made up of the whims of another? By your logic, any woman raised by a man would be gay to love, because they were shaped by that man.

I love my waifu no differently than you would love a real woman.
