"The lights went over us, putting us in a spotlight as the music and the club walls seemed to close in, pushing everyone together, concentrating us into a mass of limbs on the dance floor. Once the latest anthem had finished, ‘Disorder’ by Joy Division started up, and the lights changed color and the people moved in different ways, using different joints, and everything seemed brighter, more worthwhile.
