This is an easy one. Explain to the professor that (while you don’t openly discuss it,) you’re gay. Say you thought for the first time you were in a safe space where you could really step outside your comfort zone, by writing from the perspective of a straight man. Tell them you are willing to censor future writings that discuss sexuality if it upsets people. You can glance away sadly and say something like “I’m pretty used to doing that by now.”

There’s basically no downside to this plan, if you think coming out as gay will hurt your chances of getting pussy you must be really new to art school.
