But from the perspective of the planet Earth, it might be better that way.

Like, every species on the planet has had some form of conflict in terms of domination and coexistence at some point, and as long as there is some sort of equilibrium in terms of the biosphere, it's not like the planet itself gives a shit what caliber of complexity is assigned to whatever meow it is that is uttered.
