from a christian perspective its very much nebulous. Theres Leviticus 19:19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.
and then theres the whole new testament 'theres neither gentile nor greek before God'
now obviously the leviticus is pretty explicit, and the new testament could be construed as talking chiefly about salvation.
i have also formed this socratic analysis of the subject.
beauty exists.
beauty is strength. (i.e. God is all power and all beautiful)
a house divided cannot stand therefore for strength (and by proxy, beauty) to be maintained purity must be assured
since beauty is good, and the opposite of good is evil, then ugliness is evil as well, and so is weakness, since beauty is strength.
therefore if we are to be good, and avoid evil, then we must avoid weakness in the form of incoherent impurity, that is found in race mixing.
desu i want to be proved wrong but i think im right thats the problem.
