I feel you anon. These both have literary value outside of being fun, but I’d say Tolkien’s Hobbit/Lord of the Rings or anything by Robert E. Howard. I also like the Sword and Sorcery stuff like Karl Edward Wagner’s Kane or Richard Tierney/David Smith’s Red Sonja.
