I used to cringe when I saw these threads after making them myself... because I still couldn't understand poetry and was ashamed. I still can't entirely but I can a lot better and just need to put in some of the effort of reading more of it now to learn better pattern recognition of iambic pentameter(and yes, I am starting and still on iambic pentameter).

Absolutely same my man, it's a brotherhood of shitposters. We all have an identity, this does not encompass it, but we can rest into it here.

Anyone got a hot cup of joe?

Pythagoras, then, Heraclitus, then Parmenides.

>Alas! Alas! why did Pythagoras hold
>Beans in such wondrous honour? Why, besides,
>Did he thus die among his choice companions?
>There was a field of beans; and so the sage,
>Died in the common road of Agrigentum,
>Rather than trample down his favourite beans.

Based Pythagoras.

Calm down everyone, calm down, I think what those few anons try to say about Aristotle being a Platonist, are that the method Aristotle spiritually took from Plato, and arrived overall through different means at the same "place".

>Don't know if anybody reads Snorre Sturlason outside of Scandinavia and Iceland,
Are you kidding me? He's famous all around the world and any mildly educated person has read both his Prose Edda and Heimskringla.

He looks at the Norse gods from a realistic theorising since he is a Christian, great men, but not Gods, and he proposes that many of the men that were behind various myths could be the same, hence from Troy they came to Scandinavia or such. I don't think he was absolutely certain of it, but he was confident in the possibility theory nevertheless.

>Kant also believed strongly in breathing through one’s nose instead of one’s mouth, and constantly covered his mouth when out in bitter cold.
Confirmed Kant epicly recked the cringe mouthbreathers.
