Heretics of Dune it is, thanks. I haven't read God Emperor in years, can someone re-summarize the Golden Path and why Leto II decided to follow it, but Paul did not? My impression was that Paul realized there would be suffering either way: going down the Golden Path and being tyrannical, or not going down the Golden Path and letting humanity die off - and he just couldn't make the choice so decided to kill himself out in the desert? And so Leto II obviously went with the latter choice.
