Infinite Jest = Gigantic

I don't know why, but Gigantic was kind of the Infinite Jest theme in my head. Guess it's more a personal thing as a case of what-I-was-listening-to-at-the-time, but I don't know, it think it's a little fitting out of context, at least at capturing the feel of the time the book was written around, and that so clearly influenced the book's vision of the future.

How do I, a severe introvert, improve my social skills?

This book is unquestionably the best book of the late 20th/early 21st century, but a lot of people think that this isn't the case. I'd like those people to put their legitimate reasons that this isn't the case below

Is this going to start to make sense at some point? I feel like I have almost no idea what's going on.

I have nothing else to do so I'm going to try to finish it in a week.

Should I read it or should I not read it?

The only way of knowing if it's good and/or if I like or enjoy it, obviously, would be reading it. Then again, my prejudicial nature is trying to set a stable opinion derived from other people's experiences with the book. From what I've gathered so far the ratings vary from "absolute garbage" to "genius", and since there wasn't a thread about it... here is one combining my doubts in the form of what I just asked you.

Hey. I thought this might be the place to ask.

I'm going on a long haul across the country to help a friend move, and I want something to entertain myself. Infinite Jest has been reccommended to me for a long time now, and since it is long, I figured it'd be a good time to devote to it. Can anybody help me find an audiobook of this, preferably in the m4b format for an iPod? I have bought audiobooks on iTunes before, but this one is like 65 bucks. Any help is appreciated.
