As a Christian I especially don't understand this idea that Jesus ushers in some "kind and loving" patch on the Old Testament God. If you actually read the Gospels Jesus has a lot of moments where He sounds a lot like the Old Testament God. I've seen other Christians refer to these as "Scary Jesus" moments. But Jesus really isn't cuddly all the time.

Luther, Calvin, and the other Reformers broke communion with Rome. In this they differed from past reformers, and even the Catholic reformers of their own day, like Saint Ignatius of Loyola and Saint Teresa of Avila. Luther is a betrayer, all the Protestants are betrayers, because they broke communion and started their own churches. They broke themselves off from the unbroken branch that goes all the way back to Christ and the Apostles. That is why they are wrong and unjustified.

If Luther had stayed in communion with Rome the outcome would have been different.

Who REALLY keeps the teachings of Jesus? Didn't you guys allow divorce? Didn't you guys disobey the Didache by allowing abortion? Whose churches have been stripped of all imagery and symbolism found in the ancient cave churches of Cappadocia? Whose Churches have become mere tools of nation-states?

It's all talk. You talk about the "early church" but you directly deviate from it in ways way more substantive than something like the Papal States or indulgences.
