Success (at least in a career, but probably everywhere) is based on ambition and proactiveness. You have to want to do something, and then you have to actually do it. I did this in my job, but when it comes to a gf, I'm stuck at the "I want one" level.

Being a polymath is what takes you from success to "wow, this guy might be a genius." But you're only going to impress someone with your immense backlog of latent knowledge if you give yourself opportunities to demonstrate it in non-faggoty ways. Again, I have never applied any of this to women, but it works great on other dudes.
