Some visits I find nothing, but other times I'm overwhelmed. For the price of one new book, I get a dozen interesting ones (and usually in great shape). I'm very lucky, though. In an average week I check out two nearby library bookstores, two nearby thrift stores, get free books from publishers, and pick up a few that other profs have left on the department shelves to give away (I teach at two universities). Add in purchases from used bookstores and amazon, and I'm a happy book magnet.
