I enjoy the escapism and while I do read many classics, the books I enjoy the most are science fiction and fantasy books.

Nope. Fucking NOPE. I will never read a book where the author just assumes we can read his mind where he pulls shit out of his ass to fap to while he's almost asleep.

Why do they do this? It doesn't make any sense. You don't inform the reader, you make them feel lost, you make them feel like they missed something, and it's just really not fun to read.

AS WE TRAVEL PAST THE GRAND FORK WHERE THE FLAPAGS SHOW THEIR BELLIES, THE HORFORT WAS SHINING AND THE PLAGURATE WAS SEEN BELOW. OF COURSE THAT WAS THE SITE OF THE GREAT SMATTERING, AND FEW ROLLYLOGS WERE OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THE STORY.

See? Anyone can do this stupid bullshit.

I hate this fucking series so much. He's always jerking me off to near climax then he does a 180 and it all turns to shit.

Why were the wolves deemed important and then randomly killed off?

Why were the dragons deemed important and the bitch just forgot about them?

Why was Ice, the sword of Ned, deemed important and then just melted down to make some shitty other swords?

Why does Arya learn a sword fighting style that fits her and her sword for only 2 weeks and never uses it again?

Why does Bran have to become some tree-root troll?

The fuck is Rickon doing?

The fuck is Martin doing?

The only character development that has even come close to being satisfying is Jamie's.

Is it possible to take the science fiction genre and apply the same treatment that George RR Martin did to fantasy through his Song of Ice and Fire series?
What I mean by this is take the staples of science fiction and turn them on their heads. Hell, what exactly are considered staples of science fiction? More specifically, sci fi in a futuristic setting.
