Gardner succeeds at this format and I hope he does more like it. Every plot line in it is filled with the Gardner magic I’ve come to love. It has the strange twists that might be now the best in the series.I also really like the return to Pete, Mark, Johnnie as the characters with Sam recurring as a villain again. The endings are all among the darkest and it’s my favorite book in the series now

Sam is so based. The good and bad endings has really revitalized this series for me.

This was the single darkest book ive ever read. The entire series was a blast to read but I’m confused why the tone changed so much. Its like each book gets progressively more insane as they’ve been coming out. Thanks guys for getting me to read em. It’s been a wild ride.

How are there 16 fucking books in Horror’s Call now and which ones should I read next if I’ve only ever read CotC?

This book is hard. How do I get the good ending?
