Ticks all the boxes for contemporary marketability to 'literary' young women:
Is 'attractive' in that retro way lit girls identify with
Has a cool name, like, they would fer sure name their daughter Clarice--it's fire
Was strong-willed and revolutionarily aesthetic (read: bi-polar beyatch)
She's a woman
She's a foreigner but not threateningly foreign, but still fashionably foreign enough
Publishing companies publish cool new editions that look good held up on Instagram or wherever

Incidentally I read her complete short stories. She's OK at best; a try-hard modernist rather too late in the game, with a dash of half-baked, lazy mysticism. There are much better authors just like her--Anna Kavan comes to mind--but she gets the nod for now. Press F to pay respects to Djuna Barnes.

You read too many dry academic takes and have no experience of life. Or you're consciously avoiding the actual facts of these philosophers's lived lives in order to build this autistic incel cope bubble around yourself. And it's inane to say simply because certain structural elements pass from one generation of philosopher to the next and beyond that they MUST share the same moral disposition; it's also inane to suppose a moral disposition that one can derive magpie-like from a philosophy exemplifies the actual or total moral disposition of the philisopher. Get outside; literally have sex. Nobody is more obsessed with sex than those combing through centuries of academic philosophy just so they can talk about sex, especially if they are "like, totally against it, I swear!" (The puritan has clearly sublimated their desire to obsess over sex into endless talk about sex being bad. Like a Biblebelt senator who gets caught in a motel smoking meth fucking black hustlers.)

Some days, I can think very clearly and consider myself as having above-average intelligence, but other days, I can not think clearly at all and feel fatigued. Can I help myself or is this just life?
