You guys seem to think Russell is horrifically biased. What is a better alternative?

Here is the most important historical text on philosophy written by the 20th century's greatest philosopher. Enjoy!

I love this book. I am only at the beginning so maybe i should say i love the beginning of this book. I have been bored with reading lately but this book cured that. I can't wait to read it again.

Would this be a sufficient intro to western philosophy?

A friend recommended me Sophie's World but I quit that shit halfway through because it was too childish for my taste.

Would this be a better replacement?

How is this for an introduction to Western philosophy? My plan is to finish this, then use it as a companion as I follow the chronology of the individuals Russel touches upon, reading either their most famous works or the entirety of their work. Im aware that this only encompasses philosophy up to 1945, and as such I'll be on my own for writings beyond that, but my hope is that I will be able to use what I have learned by that point to guide me in my own learning. Is this a good plan of action for developing a broad understanding of philosophy in the West? Any suggestions?
