Everyone should listen to Bezmenov's story and make up their own mind. It makes perfect sense from all angles and he predicted a lot of what it would do.

USA did the same to the soviets, but maybe not to the same extent. "Modern art" was funded and promoted to humiliate the soviets as not being as progressive as the west, and also to make them waste resources.
