Can I skip book 1 and go straight to book 2? I'm 40 pages in and this subject object shit is boring I just want to get the good part. I'm barely getting 2 pages a day because of how boring this is which means I'll get to book 2 in like a month and a half

You guys said this book was easy. I have no idea what the fuck this guy is talking about in Book 1 and 2 on Epistemology and Ontology. I've read secondary sources on it but I still don't understand. I feel like I need a deeper understanding of philosophy and science

What nonfiction book is like a Bible to you? Something you find yourself constantly flipping through and rereading passages over the years?

The epistemology and ontology parts of The World as Will are kinda difficult and I'm not really interested in them. Could I read a short overview and just skip to Book 3 and 4 on Aesthetics and ethics?

Why did people say this is an easy read? You actually need an understanding of Kant and more than half the book is just him talking about metaphysics in a way that is not easy. I mean it's easy in comparison to Hegel but it's not even close to easy compared to analytic philosophers. This actually takes effort to understand a page. I thought it was just going to be easy aphorism kino like his essays

I just finished 200 pages of The World as Will and Representation. Does it get harder to understand later on? It feels like it's too simple. I don't find myself disagreeing or having meaningful comments on a lot of it. It's almost like the book is just articulating things I already agree with. Is there something more? Also now that I've gotten this far, reading it seems more like a chore, rather than a treat which is what it started as. Would it be acceptable for me to either skip the rest of the book or move onto a different book for the time being?

Was thinking about buying and reading this, can someone give me a quick rundown on what it's about? I like knowing some broad points about the book before going in.
