Salman Rushdie is basically only famous because he sold out his own race and spent years sucking up to the white/zionist establishment. He's a mediocre writer at bestHis views on Islam and religion in general as in the book you posted for example are literally Dawkins-/pol/-tier. Despite being raised a muslim he managed to completely misunderstand the figure of Muhammad (pbuh) and the message of the muslim faith. Besides, he probably got the smuggest most punchable face in literature.
