alrighty /lit/bros, 2 completely separate people have told me about this book in the last few weeks. I've read some summaries online and seems like an interesting read; anyone here know about this? Is it worth the read?

Is this the biggest pseud bait book out there?

In the time you spend reading this guy's speculative opinions (and that is all they are, opinions), made up terminology, anecdotes and fictional dialogues, you could have read two or tree mathematics/computation/logic books and actually learned something.

Not necessarily non-fiction, but books that are like meta and fun?

I'm reading this book and I don't understand something. If incompleteness only arises because of the unprovability of infinitely many self-referential propositions of roughly the form "This sentence is not provable", who cares? When will mathematicians ever care about those types of propositions? Am I missing something?

Why are the dialogs so reddit-ish?

Is this hard to read? Do I need to know about mathematics to understand it?
