I like to wonder how he would have evolved as a writer and a thinker.

I believe he would have tried to pander to the social justice crowd for most of a decade before realizing there is genuine vitriolic hatred present and criticizing white male erasure from academia and literature out of self interest.

He would have maintained a libertarian worldview until Covid drove him to the dissident right circlejerk on Twitter.

He would have loved the Trump spectacle.

I doubt very much he would support troons, but he would perhaps not comment on it beyond oblique references in his writing.
