I want to start writing poetry. Where do I start? What poets should I read? Should I go in order from ancient greece to modern times reading poetry, or just start writing? Help please.

What would a good "intro to logic" reading list be? I'm more interested in grokking current best thinking than knowing all the ins and outs of the history of the field (although I realize a lot of that is obviously necessary) and I'd rather read original texts than a summary book.
