Might try reading the Enneads of Plotinus first. They're much more kino once you get past your initial 21st-century kneejerk revulsion to the basic premise. After plowing through all 54 of Plotinus's treatises, your passive vocabulary should be much better equipped to make sense of Aristotle. (One of the big problem with metaphysical texts is that everyday words with everyday meanings are used for specific technical terms and so that can be very confusing because you don't even realize that you don't understand what's being said.)
