I always wanted to get into reading because I know the best stories in the whole world can mostly be found in that medium but, for the life of me I can’t read with my tiktok gen-z brain getting distracted within 2 minutes.
I literally tried to read a DFW essay on the Illinois State Fair yesterday and couldn’t get past the first couple of sentences because I was bored.
I also, have the same problem with music where I cannot listen to anything new to my taste because I’ve listened to the same old pop and hip-hop I got accustomed to all my life.
I hope it’s not too late to fix this shit, but at least I can acknowledge the problem is there.

Yeah, obviously the economy isn't fucking great and the world is oversaturated with startups looking to hitch their cart to a megacorporation. I'm NOT arguing that.
